In Loving Memory Of A Gentle Soul Betty Ann

We Love & Miss You
Today is my Mother-In-Law Betty Ann's Birthday, she would have been 82 today. She has been on my mind all day, so I decided to take a few minutes out of my busy day, to lite a candle in her honor. She was such a huge influence on my life and she taught me so many things. Her Family meant everything to her and she loved so unconditionally, she was a great wife & Mother that raised 4 wonderful men, including my wonderful husband. I miss her everyday. Here are a couple of poems that I wanted to share.
In Our Hearts
We thought of you with love today,
But that was nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our hearts.
In Loving Memory Of A Gentle Soul Harry (Boogie)

We Love & Miss You
We also would have celebrated my Father- In-Law Harry's (Boogie) Birthday on November 28th. He was a loving husband and great Father. He had the best since of humor and made everyone laugh. He loved to dance, that is how he got is nickname years ago. Everyone called him Boogie because he loved to boogie. I really miss him. Here is a poem that I would like to share.
Five Minutes
If I only had five minutes the day you passed away,
I would have had time to tell you all the things I needed to say.
I never got to tell you how much you mean to mw,
Or that you were the best dad, better than a man could be.
The last time that I talked to you
I wish I would have known.
I would have said I love you,
and kept you on the phone.
If I only had five minutes,
the morning you passed away,
I'd give you one last hug so tight and see your great big smile.
I'd tell you that I don't think I could live without you
not even for a while.
I'd kiss your cheek and take your hand and tell you it's okay to go
And tell you that I'll miss you,
more than you will know.
But you were gone so quickly,
One last car ride you'd take
Before you even knew it,
you were standing at heavens gate.
Now God has called upon you,
It's time to get your wings,
To leave this life behind you,
And enjoy all of heavens beautiful things.
So wait for me in heaven Dad,
Don't let me come alone.
The day the angels come for me,
Please be there to bring me home.
Here is one last poem In The Loving Memory Of You Both
Light A Candle
Light a candle,
see it glow,
watch it dance,
when you feel low,
think of me,
think of light,
I'll always be here,
day or night,
a candle flickers,
out of sight,
but in our heart,
I still burn bright,
think not of sadness,
that I'm not near,
think of gladness,
and joyous cheer,
I have not left,
I am not gone,
I'm here to stay
my little one,
so when you light a candle
and you see it glow
and you watch it dance
in your heart you'll know
that I would never leave you
even when you feel blue
I'm sitting up here with the Lord
and now watching over you
